A Storm Is Coming!
School of Excellence SurveyDear Families,
The Cobb Middle School PTA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders, and community at-large is important for the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which celebrates partnerships between PTA and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.
At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement. We feel Cobb Middle School and Cobb Middle School PTA can achieve that together – and the result will be national, state and community-wide visibility for the positive impact we are making together at Cobb.
We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families at two points in the school year – the beginning and end. Your feedback in the beginning of the program will help to generate a customized Roadmap to Excellence, which will provide specific recommendations for improving our family-school partnership and achieving excellence.
Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete the online survey (click here) or the printable PDF form (click here). Mark an “X” in the box that most accurately expresses how you feel about your experience. This survey is completely anonymous. Please return this survey to the CMS school office by Monday, November 7th.

Frisco Fastpacs Food & Coin Drive
Frisco Fastpacs is a home-grown charity helping Frisco students, because childhood hunger doesn’t just happen far away. Fastpacs provides weekend bags of food to almost 700 qualifying at-risk elementary and middle school children to sustain them while not in school. Each “pac” holds food for 7 meals. That’s 4,900 meals going out to kids each and every week! Fastpacs runs solely on donations.
Cobb Middle School is hosting a Food & Coin Drive the week of November 7th – 11th. Before school each day, students may drop-off food donations at collection bins located outside the gym, in the cafeteria and outside the library. PTA volunteers will collect monetary donations in the cafeteria. Our goal this year is 2,100 lbs of food or 700 lbs per grade level. Let’s help Frisco Fastpacs fill their shelves again!
