A Message From Your PTA President
Every Child. One Voice.
Every child’s potential is a reality.
To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
These are the vision and mission statements of PTA. EVERY child’s potential – Every.Single.Child. Our main goal is to help all children realize their amazing potential. This is powerful and we need your help to maximize these goals.
How do we make their potential a reality? We MUST engage and empower you, their families and teachers, and our community members to advocate for our children. They are the future of Frisco, and of our nation. We want to help you ‘Back the Future’!
So, how is this done? We have educational programs, forums, training and volunteer opportunities, and membership drives – all in an effort to engage and empower you and your students. We want to help you be a better Advocate/Supporter/Champion/Promoter/Fighter/Backer for your child and we want to be this for ALL children.
On a legislative level this means to fight for the laws that will be the best for our children. The best to help them realize their potential whether that is reducing high- stakes testing (you may have heard of the STAAR test), school finance, juvenile justice, health and safety issues, and community success initiatives, to name a few. PTA fights for our children at the local level, at the state level, and in Washington D.C. Are you a member of the largest organization to support ONLY children?
Membership matters – our advocacy is directly related to our numbers. When our Texas PTA president, whether at the state or national level, speaks to our legislators, she speaks as a representative for ‘X’ number of children...the higher the number, the more impactful to those making the laws. Wouldn’t it be great if she could go before our legislators and say she represents 1 Million Children in Texas?? Please help us meet this goal by spreading the word to your family, friends, and local business owners that PTA is worth supporting!
Your Cobb PTA wants to have purposeful engagement! We want to be relevant! Will you tell us how we’re doing? Please take the time to answer these 5 short questions:

Honorary Life Membership Award
Now seeking nominations
Since 1909 the Texas PTA has made available the honorary Texas Life Membership as one of the highest honors that may be presented to individuals for outstanding service to children and youth. It is awarded to a person whose dedication to both Cobb Middle School and our community goes above and beyond. This can be a neighbor, a friend, or a teacher – not necessarily a Cobb Middle School PTA member – who has contributed significantly to school, work and/or the community.
